this is definitely the best album since SO AF.(99),GEN NX n SUMMONS(97).

it is brilliant.i've nothing more to say.(hardly!!)

i knew that i had super-natural powers,i told u,my cat in my lungs,i was sure:how have i done to put the plane symbol for the songs section of my site before getting this NICE JOURNEY album in my hands?!i didn't even know what concept this cd should have back then,but my cat told me i should put the plane for the VOICE section the day i started building this site.i'm again,very proud of him(my cat).

i've always had a preference on his canto cds,cuz i speak canto n it's his mothertongue n he needs not care abt if he's pronouncing well...BUT he's making me change my view,i dunno how to pronounce mandarin correctly anyways either so i won't find out anythg,plus,music,ah music,is international,rite?we care abt the sounds,get the word rite,the sounds.

001 JOURNEY

**** out of 5*: this song is meaningful n beautiful;the melody is
nice without being monotone n that forever-same-commercial-tune-feel.and,please,aaron's voice:wow.if 1 song in this cd should show his singing abilities,this is it.i like the beginning of the song most,ever realized that his voice can sound 2 pitches at the same time?really like how his voice sounds both smooth n crackling in this song.

002 GUARDING U

***** : how gorgeous this song is...let it be mushy,it's poetic,etc,everything u want.aaron sounds lovely in this song,i'd start imagining he's singing this before me.yup in the dreams(!).great melody n lyrics,n i love most the passage where u can hear some kinda bells behind his voice,these 2 elements match so perfectly...just as in U're my one [#6 from GEN NEXT 97],see what i'm talking abt? this song just warms ,illuminates;his voice sparkles.song to be sung live with those beautiful eyes of aaron deep closed...i can already hear the screaming of fans in the coliseum.....myself being one of the!

003 SORRY I LUV U

*****(*) : idem,same level of my passion for the song #2,but this is a rythmic one!so maybe one more * for it!;)so cool,like the words trick in the lyrics too.music arrangement=100/100.aaron sounds sexy.luv the "c'mmon" just before the beat in the 1st part too...this is a song to be performed onstage at his upcoming concerts for example,with a care-free attitude à la kate moss(but she doesn't sing...),okay,à la faye wong:the let-go feel would fit this song onstage.plus aaron shaking his body to the beats,that's it!!

004 APPROXIMATELY/ALMOST/QUITE THE SAME

*** : [think these 3 translations re the closest]this song is plugged.i think it's okay,quite fun,but one basic thing i dunt like abt personally is the beats,"a bit too much" for me,not matching enough with the music line.it could've been less boumboumboum but more hip-hop-rocking cool,n it could've been something really nice.imho.

005 GO FOR IT

*** : ok,i must admit i like it less than at the beginning.don't quite like the background chorus,that's the main prob i guess.the song is obviously disco with a slight latino touch.obviously an ad song too(pepsi + china football league)i still like it much when i manage to pretend not hearing the background vocals!

006 HEAVEN OF LONELINESS

**** : the song is originally a current fast-beat song of a popular coreen singer named Jun.never heard the fast beat version,but i guess(n being a bit biased for aaron)i like the aaron version better,the slow rocking song is full of emotions u can hear in aaron's sweeeet voice,n electric guitars flying here n there,totally cool.note the nice lyrics by Lin Xi.

007 NEVER TRUST TEARS

** : originally a current japanese song.why bother?n there's one great songwriter up there for the Journey song from mainland china.this song wants to sound cool,but is betrayed by the beats:too old-styled,the beats are completely outdated.make one think how the beats are important in a song,they're the basic element>>>it's what those professional bands would tell u.the only song to be skipped on the cd.

008 NO MATTER WHAT WILL COME

*** : sweet song but nothing really special.but very nice to the ears nevertheless.

009 I JUST LUV U LIKE I DO

*** : strongly boys-band sounding,it's a nice pop song,happy song that wakes u up.it sounds pretty like J-pop to me,duncha think?

0010 PROMISE ME

**** : now,there's commercial n commercial.this is one good commercial tune,i just love it like i do!the song just ends like Journey has started,obviously it's to remind u of the theme of this album:journey of Life,passages that go in circle.the lyrics:lost love that is described in general,just like in the 1st track.
